Sunday 10 2 22 morning call

Hookipa yesterday morning.

Couple of days ago, I did a short downwind run with the Foil Drive and no paddle, in order to preserve the inflamed tendons of my fingers. I have some people interested in the Foil Drive, so I made a video that shows pretty much the whole run and it came out 17 minutes long.

5am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.

Small long period southerly energy is at the buoys. Check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

NNW swell is now 3.1 11s from 340 at Pauwela and today there's also 5ft 9s from the north coming from the fetch indicated in the maps of Sept30 and Oct 1.

Home guess for Hookipa is head to head and a half with mixed periods and overlapping breaking patterns, but with no wind for most of the morning. Harbor has small waves.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
