The barrel machine at the harbor jetty has been working for the last 5 days.
Hookipa at sunset.
At the end of this wave in the harbor, I saw a 4-5 feet shark riding pretty much under my board. It happened already many years ago at Kanaha. Call me weird, but I get a kick out of it, so beautiful!
Always a pleasure to also share the lineup with Robby Naish, one of the most respectful SUP surfers around. Robby, the shark, some perfect waves... that was a really good session.
5am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.

- 0.7ft, 15s, SW 225º
SSW energy down to 13s at the buoys, but already a new small long period one shows up underneath. Check the Lahaina
webcam if interested, for size,
conditions and consistency.
North shore

Hanalei

Northerly energy continues at the buoy, even though it should be declining today. Home guess for Hookipa is still for double overhead to start the day with and no wind.
Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
