5am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.

Barbers

  • 0.4ft

New small long period SSW energy is on the rise at the buoys. Below are the maps of October 20 through 22 that show the fetch that generated it. It should reach 2ft 15s tomorrow.

Check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
Hanalei

  • 2.9ft
    , 11s, N 0º

Waimea

  • 3.2ft
    , 11s, N 350º

Pauwela

  • 5.3ft
    , 8s, ENE 70º
  • 1.6ft
    , 11s, N 350º

Small northerly energy is still at the buoys together with elevated ENE windswell. Both should be on the decline, but the home guess for Hookipa is still for at least head high waves.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
