Kahului harbor yesterday morning.
Couple of shots from the west side windsurfing action.
5am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
No southerly energy at the buoys, but there's still warp from the north.
Check the Lahaina webcam if interested,
for size, conditions and consistency.
North shore
N
- 18.3ft, 15s, NNE 25º
Hanalei
- 10.2ft, 15s, NE 50º
- 10.1ft, 12s, N 10º
- 5ft, 8s, NNE 15º
Waimea
- 9.3ft, 13s, NNE 20º
- 5.7ft, 17s, NNE 25º
- 7ft, 10s, N 10º
Mokapu
- 11.9ft, 15s, NE 40º
- 8.1ft, 10s, N 5º
- 6.1ft, 13s, NNE 30º
18ft 15s from 25 at the N buoy must be one of the highest NNE reading I've ever seen. As a consequence, also today the north shore will be pretty much off limits, with the usual exception of Kahului harbor.
