Monday 6 14 21 morning call

No photos from yesterday. Facebook memories proposed this shot from June 2017. It was the beginning of the new resurgence of the foiling movement (the one that made it go world-wide). Just yesterday at the shop we were commenting how we all started with the first Gofoil foil: the Kai. Well, we all tried to learn with it, but it sure wasn't easy. I was lucky/smart to learn with the windsurf foiling, a lot easier than SUP or prone foiling (that is, IF you know how to windsurf). It all became a lot easier shortly after when the "original Maliko" came out (the straight one). Plenty tech discussion on the blog post where I originally posted this picture. So much fun to figure it all out. A process still ongoing.

4am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
Barbers

1.2ft @ 15s from 172° (S)
1.1ft @ 11s from 185° (S)

Lanai

1.3ft @ 14s from 176° (S)
0.9ft @ 11s from 172° (S)

Small southerly energy at the buoys. Check the Lahaina or Kihei webcams if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
N
3.1ft @ 9s from 25° (NNE)

Pauwela

3.1ft @ 8s from 57° (ENE)
2.1ft @ 6s from 76° (ENE)
1.4ft @ 11s from 21° (NNE)

New small NNE swell should be on the rise all day. It's 3ft 9s at the N buoy and only 1.4ft 11s locally, so I wouldn't expect nothing particularly exciting, but it should be better than the flatness we've had the last couple of days. It should be bigger tomorrow (yellow dotted line in the forecast below).
Home guess for Hookipa is around waist high to start with and increasing throughout the day.
