Hookipa yesterday afternoon.
This is a 17 minutes long video I quickly slapped together about a Foil Drive assisted SUP foiling downwinder I did yesterday with an F-one Eagle 890. Today I'll go with a 790. Massive thanks to Jerome who lets me borrow them. Check out his Instagram channel. I need one of those 360 cameras...
5am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
Barbers
- 3.3ft, 14s, S 185º
Lanai
- 2.4ft, 14s, SSW 195º
South swell gradually declining, but still with a decent size at the buoys.
Check the Lahaina webcam if interested,
for size, conditions and consistency.
North shore
Hanalei
- 9.1ft, 9s, ENE 75º
- 2ft, 12s, NNW 345º
Waimea
- 4.3ft, 8s, NE 40º
- 1.7ft, 11s, N 350º
Mokapu
- 4.9ft, 8s, ENE 70º
NNW energy down a lot compared to the last few days, today should mark the return to mostly easterly windswell on the north shore. Home guess for Hookipa is waist to shoulder high.
Fetches map (circles legend: red: direct aim, blue: angular spreading, black: blocked, yellow: possibly over the ice sheet) from Windy.
North Pacific (about 4 days travel time from the NW corner of the North Pacific):
South Pacific (about 7 days travel time from east/west of New Zealand):
