Tuesday 7 13 21 morning call

The reward for being in the right place at the right time. Lahaina side, yesterday morning.

5am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore

1.4ft @ 13s from 186° (S)
1ft @ 15s from 176° (S)

1.7ft @ 13s from 181° (S)

Small southerly energy at the buoys, check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
4.7ft @ 7s from 67° (ENE)

Windswell slowly on its way up. As you can see from the Pauwela forecast below, it's predicted to reach around 6ft 9s on Thursday. The source are those fetches elongated all the way to California we've seen on the fetches maps of the last couple of days (and today).
Home guess for Hookipa is around waist to belly high today.

Forecast and energy spectrum of Pauwela from this PACIOOS page.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here (click on animation of the 10 meter column).
