Monday 2 22 21 morning call

Hookipa yesterday. Photo by Jimmie Hepp from this album.

6am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore

Lanai
1.1ft @ 14s from 249° (WSW)

Weird and suspicious direction for that small reading at Lanai. Check the Lahaina or Kihei webcams if interested, for size, conditions and consistency. I was actually able to catch a decent one.

North shore
NW101
3.6ft @ 13s from 305° (WNW)

Pauwela

7.4ft @ 9s from 81° (E)
2.1ft @ 5s from 82° (E)
1.6ft @ 14s from 333° (NNW)

Minimal NW energy at the buoys, once again and for the whole week, the dominant energy is going to be the rising easterly windswell. Home guess for Hookipa and the easterly exposures is head high plus and windy.

Wind map at noon. While waiting for the usual wind maps to come back online, these are two alternatives: PACIOOS page and Surfline.
