Thursday 2 15 21 morning call

Hookipa yesterday morning.

5am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
Lanai

2.6ft @ 15s from 195° (SSW)

Good readings continue at Lanai. Check the Lahaina or Kihei webcams if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
NW001
8.3ft @ 13s from 323° (NW)

Waimea
6.3ft @ 14s from 331° (NNW)

Pauwela

4.9ft @ 13s from 335° (NNW)
4.5ft @ 9s from 40° (NE)
2.6ft @ 11s from 327° (NW)

Below is Surfline's Pauwela's graph. The NNW swell peaked during the night, but the readings of the upstream buoys show that there will be pretty steady energy all day also today. Home guess for Hookipa is around head and a half and clean. Eastern exposures have seen continuous action too, today it should be a bit smaller than the previous couple of days. Third day in a row of great wind conditions, enjoy them as the trades are about to come back.
