Friday 9 10 21 morning call

I'm liking ending my wing downwinders at Kanaha, as the scene is pretty various these days.
Check out the extremely different board volumes and shapes. Kitefoiling remains extremely attractive to me. He had a tiny kite and nonetheless was moving no problem in the light wind.

That looked like a glassed bodyboard to me.

A little more volume for the heavier Alika, who was pulling off some styling tacks.

Lastly, Browsinho mid jibe with his 2 years old.

4am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.

South shore
Barbers

1.8ft @ 13s from 185° (S)
1.2ft @ 11s from 181° (S)
1.1ft @ 9s from 167° (SSE)
1.1ft @ 18s from 189° (S)

The long period angular spreading energy went up to 1ft 18s, but there's also 1.8ft 13s at Barbers (and shorter periods) that, in conjunction with the early morning calmness, should make for nice conditions.
Check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
Pauwela

1.8ft @ 8s from 21° (NNE)
1.8ft @ 6s from 67° (ENE)
0.7ft @ 9s from 70° (ENE)
0.5ft @ 11s from 88° (E)

Still no waves on the north shore and today not even wind for a downwinder (at least on this side).

Forecast and energy spectrum of Pauwela from this PACIOOS page.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here (click on animation of the 10 meter column).
