Saturday 9 4 21 morning call

The scene at Kanaha is pretty different from a couple of years ago. The majority of people are now on foils of some sort. The guy on the foreground on the right is Pete Cabrinha and one of his wings is in the water. Almost every day I see new brands of foils, wings and boards and now there's also a new very exciting "niche" foil related product that I'm ordering for Hi-Tech (and for myself). Stay tuned for more details in next few weeks.

4am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.

South shore
Barbers

3.8ft @ 7s from 161° (SSE)
2.3ft @ 15s from 187° (S)

2.3ft 15s is a pretty solid reading at Barbers, check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
Pauwela

5.2ft @ 8s from 68° (ENE)
2.5ft @ 5s from 60° (ENE)

The 11s energy is gone, 5ft 8s will still give Hookipa sloppy waves around chest to shoulder high.

Forecast and energy spectrum of Pauwela from this PACIOOS page.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here (click on animation of the 10 meter column).
