Saturday 9 18 21 morning call

Foil gear testing marathon at the harbor for me yesterday. Four hours (with half hour lunch break) to test three wingboards, one front foil wing and one tail. I took this picture at Hookipa afterwards.

4am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.

South shore
Barbers
1.6ft @ 14s from 199° (SSW)

Small medium period SSW energy at Barbers. Check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
Hanalei
1ft @ 15s from 315° (NW)

Waimea
0.9ft @ 16s from 315° (NW)

Kanaohe Bay
4.4ft @ 8s from 78° (ENE)

1ft 15/16s NW energy at the upstream buoys and 4.4ft 8s of windswell in Oahu. Without Pauwela the Hookipa home guesses are inevitably going to be less accurate. Today I'm calling for belly to shoulder high.

Forecast of Pauwela from this PACIOOS page.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here (click on animation of the 10 meter column).

Fetches map

North Pacific
(about 4 days travel time from the NW corner of the North Pacific):

South Pacific
(about 7 days travel time from east/west of New Zealand):
