Check the Lahaina webcam if interested,
for size, conditions and consistency.
North shore
NW101
- 9.3ft, 10s, E 85º
- 2.3ft, 15s, NW 305º
Mokapu
- 7.5ft, 10s, NE 55º
- 6.2ft, 7s, E 80º
New small long period NW energy is at the outer buoys. Below are the maps of February 26 through 28 that show the fetch that generated it.
This is the new format of the Surfline forecast that shows this swell reaching a rather unimpressive 1.5ft 15s at sunset. If you're a Surfline subscriber, please let them know how hard to read this format is compared to how it was.
Wouldn't count too much on that energy, specially because the easterly windswell will be dominant again. Home guess for Hookipa is head and a half and stormy.
Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here.
Fetches map (circles legend: red: direct aim, blue: angular spreading, black: blocked, yellow: possibly over the ice sheet) from Windy.
North Pacific (about 4 days travel time from the NW corner of the North Pacific):
