5am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
Lanai
- 1.6ft, 13s, SSW 200º
- 1.5ft, 7s, SSW 210º
- 0.9ft, 11s, S 175º
13s southerly energy continues at Lanai. Check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.
North shore
NW001
- 2.4ft, 11s, NNE 30º
- 1.9ft, 9s, N 350º
- 3.1ft, 4s, W 260º
Mokapu
- 2.6ft, 11s, NNE 15º
Only small 11s NNE energy at the buoys. Get used to it, as we won't get much else for the rest of the week. Home guess for Hookipa is waist to chest high and clean thanks to the light kona's.
Fetches map (circles legend: red: direct aim, blue: angular spreading, black: blocked, yellow: possibly over the ice sheet) from Windy.
North Pacific (about 4 days travel time from the NW corner of the North Pacific):
