Sunday 4 11 21 morning call

Hookipa at sunset yesterday.

7am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
Barbers

1.8ft @ 13s from 177° (S)
0.9ft @ 20s from 197° (SSW)

Lanai

1.7ft @ 14s from 180° (S)

Once again the buoy readings are better than what the webcam shows, but there's occasional very clean sets. Check the Lahaina or Kihei webcams if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
N
3.4ft @ 9s from 54° (ENE)

Pauwela

3.8ft @ 9s from 45° (NE)
0.6ft @ 4s from 18° (NNE)
0.3ft @ 20s from 320° (NW)

NE energy continues to decline but there's still some in the water. Home guess for Hookipa is chest to head high and clean (eastern exposures too). Wind should be none until around 11am when a light sea breeze is predicted by pickup. Wonderful day of relatively small waves surfing.

Forecast and energy spectrum of Pauwela from this PACIOOS page.

Wind map at noon. The other ones can be found here (click on animation of the 10 meter column).
