Tuesday 4 13 21 morning call

Hookipa yesterday morning.

4am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
3.1ft @ 14s from 287° (WNW)

2.7ft @ 14s from 227° (SW)

SSW swell down to 14s but still nice size at the buoys. Check the Lahaina or Kihei webcams if interested, for size, conditions and consistency.

North shore
4.3ft @ 14s from 318° (NW)

3.9ft @ 14s from 318° (NW)

4ft @ 14s from 323° (NW)
2.2ft @ 8s from 43° (NE)

Moderate NW swell peaked during the night and today is showing a nice 4ft 14s. Below are the graphs of Pauwela (right) together with yesterday's graph and prediction and the Surfline forecast. Size should remain pretty steady all day with a slow decline trend. Home guess for Hookipa is head and a third to head and a half and clean in the early morning.

Forecast and energy spectrum of Pauwela from this PACIOOS page.
