Wednesday 12 29 21 morning call

Thanks to Josh and Dawn for the donations.

The last week of the year is when I remind the readers that they can show their appreciation for the work done during 2021 with a donation. Thank you.

Hookipa yesterday early morning.

Later in the morning, Russ was the first to hit the water.

Steve joined shortly after.

Then Ian Gentil showed up.

Together with Kai Lenny and his photographer.

The rest of the windsurfing afternoon can be found in this album by Jimmie Hepp.

4am Surfline significant buoy readings and discussion.
South shore
No southerly energy at Barbers. Check the Lahaina webcam if interested, for size, conditions and consistency, whatever was left of that Cloudbreak swell should be in the water by now... or not.

North shore
Hanalei

7.8ft @ 10s from 58° (ENE)
3.4ft @ 13s from 327° (NW)

Hilo
8ft @ 11s from 56° (ENE)

Kaneohe Bay

5.9ft @ 9s from 48° (NE)
4ft @ 6s from 52° (ENE)

NW swell wend down pretty quickly (as it did the originating fetch). Hanalei is still reading 3.4ft 13s, but the most dominant energy should be once again the NE to ENE one. Home guess for Hookipa is for head to head and a half.

Forecast of Pauwela from this PACIOOS page.
